VI Geoscience Services Ltd., based in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, was established by Dr. Leanne Pyle. Her vision is to broker scientific knowledge and research to industry, government, and communities to advance understanding of the Earth sciences and maximize responsible development of Canada’s natural resources.

Dr. Leanne Pyle
Dr. Leanne Pyle is an internationally published stratigrapher with more than 30 peer-reviewed government and journal publications. She has presented at numerous international, national, and regional conferences and workshops. Leanne is registered as a Professional Geoscientist with APEGBC. She holds a PhD in Earth and Ocean Sciences from the University of Victoria, where she remains an adjunct professor, and a BSc in Paleobiology from the University of Saskatchewan. Leanne has worked for more than 20 years in geoscience with institutions such as University of Victoria, Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) and the Geological Survey of Canada. Leanne specializes in integrated stratigraphy, sedimentology, conodont paleontology, and basin analysis. She attributes success to sound knowledge and effective communication coupled with honesty, commitment, and collaboration.
